I am not familiar with the Parrot Systems so I can not comment. However I did have the Motorola system in my Volvo XC90 for a bit so I was familiar with it. The Parrot does not have voice commands I believe but the Motorola does.
The system is already buttoned up so there are no progress photos, however:
1. Bought a Motorola Bluetooth IHF-1000 System off Ebay for $199.00 (there are lot of them listed on Ebay).
2. Bought Saab Phone Harness from GenuineSaab.com
3. Removed lower right side console panel with instructions for a Aux-in installation pdf. http://www.wideopenwest.com/~mrandmr...yne/DIYaux.htm
4. Plugged Saab Harness into the phone pre-wire connector which was behind console side panel (I have the premium package with phone pre-wiring). Note the lever on the connector to secure the plugs...it has to be "opened" first before connecting the plugs. The sysem will not work correctly if the plugs are not tight together).
5. Connected Saab Harness Wires to Motorola Harness:
Saab ground (black) to Motorola ground (black).
Saab mute (yellow) to Motorola Mute (yellow).
Saab power (red) to Motorola power (red)
Saab keyed power (red/blue) to Motorola ignition power (green)
Saab line output signal (grey/white) to Motorola line audio + (orange)
Saab line output ground (blue/white) to Motorola line audio - (blue)
Saab mic low level output (orange) to Motorola mic (yellow)*
Saab mic ground (green) to Motorla mic ground (black)*
* the Motorola mic lines were twisted together and had a connector which I just cut off.
You do not use the Motorola connector for the Motorolla speaker.
6. Connected Motorolla harness plug to the Motorola bluetooth box and then the Motorola User Module (dashboard contoller in my photo) to the Motorola harness connector and then tested the system with my Motorla V551 phone (paired it as the first step).
7. Removed ventilation panel per pdf above and then the cup holder bracket face plate on its left side to run the Motorola User Module line and install the module to the face plate of the cup holder bracket. The line goes between the top of the cup holder face plate and the soft dash edge above.
8. Reinstalled everything removed in reverse.
Phone works as described in past posts...radio mutes, "telephone" appears on SID, volume contolled by radio knob/steering wheel/Motorolla module...same as the Volvo.
